Hello????? Belly of Two!

As we all would agree, choosing the name of your child (ren) is one of the most important decisions we are required to make, prior to their arrival into this world. The name game has begun in our household. If you would kindly go to our name polls, for BOTH sexes, and vote on one of the names we have discussed as options, for each child, we would really appreciate it. Our only request is that you do not reply with rude comments on the names you do not like. That's just not socially acceptable in my book :) The names you love may be chosen for our twinsies. Oh, by the way, these names are NOT the only names we are considering. Just a few of our top favorites. Thanks for your vote!!!!

Was the "weather man" correct?

So, was the "weather man" correct in his gender forecast prediction? SHE most certainly was correct. We saw clearly, today, that Darren and I are still expecting a little girl and a little boy. We are even more excited today than we were at week 12.

The twins are completely healthy. The doctor is very pleased, so far, with the way things are progressing. God is so AWESOME. I have only gained 10 pounds so far (yahoo). Our little princess weighs only 8 ounces and our little prince weighs 10 ounces.

Darren and I are now anticipating watching the nursery transform and are working on narrowing down our name selections. We may even post a poll for you all to vote on if there are any major issues with coming to an agreement.

We appreciated all of your prayers and continued love, support, and interest in this pregnancy and we will continue to keep you posted. We have now been moved from doctor appointments being every 4 weeks to doctor appointments being every 2 weeks. I just love going anyway, so it's no big deal to me.

I spent the rest of the afternoon shopping for pink and purple :) It's a nice change, but I still picked up ONE thing for our son. I feel like he's totally getting the raw end of the deal, but he has an amazing wardrobe being passed down to him from big brother. After I picked up Ty, I showed him a little dress I bought his sister and he replied, "AWE! That is so cute!!!" So far, no signs of jealousy. Another praise to thank our Heavenly Father for.

Baby's Got "Back"!

I'm really not the type of person to obsess too much about weight gain during pregnancy. I definitely try to eat healthy, but at times, I do allow myself that extra splurge, after all, it's the only time I will have the excuse to do so, in my opinion. My doctor said I have only gained 7 lbs, but it feels like 14 lbs. Being I am normally petite/little, I think it surprises people to see the sudden changes, but you know, pregnant people have feelings too! The comments about my size and body changes are slowly being said. I know that comments aren't meant in a bad way, but they can still be a blow to one's self-esteem. It's no secret, my pregnancy tends to show up first in the rear-end. The "bottom" line, no pun intended, is that it's essential to gain an appropriate amount of weight during pregnancy. Right now, the twins should be approximately the size of two potatoes. So, as you can imagine, it's only going to get worse from here.

So, why am I writing about this? I had an incident at the gym this morning from a complete stranger. Well, he's a stranger to me, but apparently he thinks he knows me pretty well. It's an 80 year old man that works out at the gym. He came up to me and said, "Are you sure you are going to make it to April?" I said, "Well, that is my due date, why?" He said, "Well I'm just surprised at how quickly you have popped!" I said, "Well, I just started showing, really, and you do know it's twins, right?" He said, "Yeah, do you know what you are having!" I said, "One boy and one girl!" He said, "Well, we've discussed it and we were sure they were both boys!" I said, "Oh I know, when you are pregnant with boys your belly really gets pregnant up in this area" and he replied by saying, "Well, we weren't talking about your stomach!" LOL! The nerve. I assume he meant my buttocks, but maybe he was speaking of my boobs. And who is this "WE". Multiple elderly men in the gym? GROSS!

Anyhow, I always thought pregnant woman were beautiful and sexy in their own way, but it certainly doesn't feel that way now that I'm pregnant with twins. It's a good thing hubby still finds me attractive. :) From the jist of it, the fact that I've got some extra junk in the trunk, it's not bothering Darren ONE bit. Was that TMI? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Overall, I'm really not concerned. I will loose all of the weight and then some after pregnancy. I know myself. I couldn't live with myself if I didn't!
