8 Months Pregnant!

WATCH OUT PEOPLE, THE BELLY WILL KNOCK YOU OVER!!!!!! WOAH. I am so happy that I am being induced. I cannot imagine what this thing would look like on my original due date of April 13th. Despite feeling overly LARGE, I think I am handeling this pregnancy fairly well. I am very flattered by all the compliments I've received. The most common one, "Wow, I cannot believe there are two babies in there!" Well I beg to differ because I CAN!!!!!!!

Daddy Gets Baptized!

For those of you who expressed an interest in being at Darren's Baptism, but couldn't make it, I was able to capture it on my camera. I am posting it on the twins blog because I feel like God couldn't have had this happen at a more important time in our lives. I wish you could have seen how excited Tyson was to witness his daddy get Baptized. I'm not sure if it was the ceremony or the excitement of watching his daddy get "dunked" or fully submerged into water. Obviously, for a 3 year old, it's the latter of the two. But regardless, Darren had an amazing support system. Our Church body and Family in Christ has been praying for him for almost an entire YEAR! They have watched him transform and shed some tears of their own, knowing it was GOD answering all of their prayers. This truly was the best day of my life!

8 Months Pregnant!!!

It's hard to believe that I am 8 months pregnant. My blog says we have 54 days to go, but it's actually 35 days left until my induction date. WOAH! Time will fly, I just know it. I haven't had too much to report on lately. Things are going really well. Darren and I have been blessed with two baby showers and we are almost prepared for the arrival of Lilah and Jax. We are heading down to Greensboro, NC (with our doctor's permission) on Friday to purchase the rest of the necessities we will need.

I had a doctor appointment yesterday and the babies are definitely growing BIG! Lilah is weighing in at 3 pounds 7 ounces and Jaxon is 3 pounds 14 ounces. Although they are gaining weight weekly, my doctor seems to think that they will not be any heavier than 5 pounds each. I guess I just have small babies. Remember, Ty was 5 pounds 8 ounces when he was born.

I was told that Lilah is still head down and living DEEP within my hip bone. Jax is also head down and living DEEP inside my rib cage. The sonogram tech said that they are really beating me up inside (aka moving around), but to be honest, I don't feel it that often. She also included that they are running out of living room and competing for space.

Lilah has "lots of hair" and Jax has "some hair". I wonder where the lots of hair comes from. LOL!

The nursery is really starting to transform and should be completed by March 1st. I am nesting like crazy and trying to enjoy these last few weeks of being a mommy of one. I am also trying hard to appreciate my alone time with Tyson before his competition arrives. It's hard to imagine being able to love anything more than you love your first born.

Finally, the only real symptoms that I am experiencing being 8 months pregnant is swelling in my right leg, ankle, and foot. It's rather unattractive. It comes and goes depending on the quantity of water I drink and depending on what I eat. I'm enjoying the ability to splurge on fattening foods such as McDonald's and eating ice cream during the day :) I only have five weeks left until I give birth so while I'm not allowing myself to over induldge, I am am allowing myself some out of the norm splurges. Afterall, I think I deserve it :)
