Jax's surgery was successful. Dr. Densmore said that both hernias were able to be repaired. He also stated, "the hernias were big". Jax is resting at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He isn't eating well (only had 2 ounces of formula since 7 am) and is slightly fussy - crying out every so often.
When we arrived to Jax's hospital room, the patient who was staying in the room prior to us was just getting ready to leave. The patient was was an 8 month old baby boy. He was born 3 months early and spent the first 5 months of his life at RMH. Although this surgery was a big deal for us, I feel so blessed that Jax only had to have two inguinal hernias repaired.
Power of prayer is incredible. God heard them all and obviously answered them all. We pray Jax's recovery time and healing process are speedy and painless.
