I decided today that a great way to end the weekends would be to post a collection of pictures from our weekend. I plan and hope to do this every Sunday night. Here are 7 that I had to share from this weekend.
First up...
Picture 1: Instead of "Cardboard Testimonies", we now have "Chalkboard Writings!".
We have a friend, Lisa Fernandez, who has a chalkboard in her kitchen. She writes ALL of her meals out for the week so there are no surprises. We've had this chalkboard for 6 years, but when we moved we never hung it up.Darren and I joked and said, "Let's do what Lisa does!" I said, "Yea, okay, Monday: Taco Bell, Tuesday: Frank's, Wednesday: Quiznos, Thursday: I-Hop & Friday-Sunday: EAT OUT.We've been eating out way too much. It's so hard to get to the grocery store with three kids. Anyway, we didn't want to copy the Fernandez family, so we decided to write scriptures on the chalk board, periodically throughout the week. Here is the first scripture that was placed up on the board.
Picture 2: I am running out of ideas on what to feed Lilah and Jaxon, so tonight we made a VERY daring move and as a couple, Darren and I, decided to test the waters with peanut butter.
I made Lilah and Jaxon a peanut butter sandwich. Lilah and Jaxon not only loved it,
but they are still alive and well. That's a gooooood thing for our household because we are peanut freaks.
Picture 3: This is just a shot of the pile of foodthat was "leftover" after Lilah and Jax were through eating dinner. It looks like this after every single meal. Keep in mind, Ninja did pick through this pile before I was able to snap the photo. I am reminded everyday that God is trying to teach me patience.
Picture 4:
And the next set of pictures are of Jax, taking a bath in the sink, because he had peanut butter stuck ALL over him. He thought this was the best thing since sliced bread.
Picture 5:
Sometimes, Darren does random things in our home. Tonight I had the privilege of borrowing Kaitlyn Graham's camera, so Darren randomly said, "Hey take a picture of me jumping as high as I can in the air." Of course, Ty had to copy him.
Picture 6:
So... Lilah is no longer L-i-l-a-h. It's "LIL". Guess why? No, that's not short for little. And it's not because she's tiny. It's because she is ripping her letters off her wall, above her crib. Again, God is teaching me patience. Grrrrr!
